After receiving the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Lucian started his design career at Volvo Car Corporation in Goteborg, Sweden in 1990.
In 1992 Lucian returned to Los Angeles to join GK Design International, a design consultancy, leading a 12-month project for Asics Corporation. A year later he was named Studio Leader, managing a team of associates and multiple projects for GK Design’s main client Yamaha Motors Corporation.
In 1999 he takes a six-month assignment with Arelli Alloy Wheels in Los Angeles, to develop new concepts and new business and design strategies, before moving to Detroit, Michigan where he was offered a position in the newly created Interior Design Quality studio at General Motors.
At General Motors, Lucian managed several projects as Lead Designer and, for a period of two years as Assistant Program Manager in the Perceived Quality Group, was involved in the vehicle development process, in more than half dozen programs, from the project’s inception to the production launch.
In 2009 Lucian launched car_brand_image design consultancy, helping clients with creative solutions covering a wide spectrum of design.
